Undergoing cancer treatments can be stressful for both patients and families. Part of the fear is not knowing what to expect during the process − this is why the Juravinski Resource Library was created. The Juravinski Resource Library is a lending library of books, videos and other resources designed to help patients and their families learn more about the process they are undergoing. When they understand and learn about the process, it is a little less daunting.
The Hamilton Professional Firefighters Association has committed to giving $150,000 to this initiative. We have already raised $130,000 towards the goal but we are asking you to help us raise the remaining $20,000. On May 26th, 2011, the Hamilton Professional Firefighters Association will be hosting the First Annual Hamilton Firefighters Charity Golf Classic at Glendale Golf and Country Club. Funds raised will be designated to the Juravinski Resource Library.
We ask that you support this worthwhile cause by purchasing one of our platinum, gold, silver or bronze packages for the tournament. Opportunities are available at various other levels to support this initiative.
The Hamilton Professional Firefighters Association is a registered charity that has raised over $1,000,000 for The Hamilton Burn Unit and has also raised funds for community charities including: The Good Shepherd; Mission Services; The Heart and Stroke Foundation; Camp Bucko; Camp Maple Leaf; and The Bob Kemp Hospice to name a few.
We hope you will be part of this initiative and commit to supporting the First Annual Hamilton Firefighters Charity Golf Classic. You may have friends or family who may be in need of this important resource library one day.
